Carol Hutchens, October 2011
Edee Cutt packed her new college degree and headed to Redbud to join her grandmother’s business, but attended her funeral instead. After burying the only link to her family history and possibily her future, she's faced with trying to save a failing business.
But rent is paid on the office and Edee can save the house she inherited if she can salvage the business. Her chances are slim, but J.T. Knight arrives in town and ends all hope when he evicts Edee from the office.
Her instant attraction to the man trying to destroy her dreams is bad enough, but now she has to depend on his job offer to keep the roof over her head and disaster looms.
Jacob Troy Knight wants to return to Redbud to show the residents he made a success of his life. Even dread of facing his past is better than the cold reception he gets when he buys an office building and evicts the only tennant so he can remodel the premises.
Failure greets him at every turn and his only ally turns out to be the woman haunting his dreams and his future. Can J.T. let go the past and face the future? Will Edee lose her dreams of having a real home when she can’t rescue the business, or will her attraction to J.T. show her that finding the right man to love is her real dream?
