Death comes to us all, doesn't it ? But it can come more quickly for some than others - especially if you don't watch where you're going! But, you'll be pleased to hear, death isn't the end. At least not if you don't want it to be. You can choose to go off and be one with the universe, but you can also choose to stay on as a guardian angel and help someone less fortunate than yourself.

And no, not in any tedious religious sense. You'll find out more about that too on the other side.
But try not to get lumbered with a job like the last angel I had come through here. Total rookie, but hardly to be blamed because the woman she latched onto had her own secrets. No less than eight of them, in fact. Which is really the whole point of the story. So I suggest you read Afterglow now, then think about it carefully -- and then read it again very slowly, so when it's your turn to go, you don't make the same mistake she did.
