Y el comentario sobre El cuaderno gris, de Josep Pla, que le remite a su propia memoria en un asombroso y enésimo punto en común con el maestro. También encontramos nuevas andanzas. Como la crónica de su viaje por Galicia, Castilla y León, y Navarra, sobre la que ensalza su visita a las tumbas de Camilo José Cela, Valle-Inclán y San Juan de la Cruz, al tiempo que su emocionado abrazo con la Edad Media, época oscura que le resulta fascinante. Y nuevas sorpresas, como una «sabrosísima» correspondencia electrónica mantenida con Anna Caballé, una de sus profesoras de Universidad y actual directora de la Unidad de Estudios Biográficos.
