Dracula is the classic novel that turned the legend of the vampire into a worldwide sensation.
This stage adaptation is specifically written for school productions in schools with more girls interested in drama than boys (as is often the case in school drama clubs). The script calls for six female and four male actors. A production of this play will run less than an hour. This play may be a good choice for directors who are looking for a short play with opportunities for a less-experienced company to explore the art of melodrama, stage combat, and stagecraft (lighting, sound and other special effects). This script may not be appropriate for all school groups.
Public or charter schools looking to produce this play as a student production may do so with no royalty fee. All we ask is that you pay for 11 copies of the script (one for each actor and one for the director).
