Frankie and the Good Time Boys are not the greatest lounge band ever. But they've managed to eke out a living in the seediest districts of Port City, a chaotic metropolis where the haves and have nots know who they are - and they don't mingle.
When Frankie receives a prophecy from a gorgeous member of a local hill tribe, he has mixed feelings. Who is this beautiful young prophetess, and why does she think he will save Port City from a catastrophic invasion? As Frankie wrestles with his conscience he begins to bear witness to the decadence of the society around him. If he does nothing the results will be devastating. But he is just one man, and he is very lazy. Frankie is torn and confused - and in love.
