Mer asks Grandmom one question: What is a mole? Mer uses his imagination to describe her mole. Later Mer decides that he wants one like that. All throughout the book Mer is pointing to the mole. Mer imagines that the mole is a variety of items. . Something is supposed to happen when Mer pushes grand mom’s mole. When Mer touches the mole nothing happens. The oldest brother, Amyr watches Mer when he sees Mer pushing Grandmom’s mole, Amyr says, “Stop that.” Mer pushes Grand mom’s mole harder. Grandmom said ouch. Then she hugs Mer.
