Ellen Whyte, July 2012
When Ellen Whyte moved to tropical Sarawak, the land of the headhunters and home of the orang utan, she longed for cat companions but sensibly decided it would be irresponsible to take on a pet, as expat life is too uncertain.
Luckily for her, Scoop, a stray cat with a corkscrew tail, had his own ideas. After a short campaign displaying brilliant tactics and strategy, Scoop moved in. From that fateful day onwards, Scoop and his cat pals Au, Target and Guido have ruled the author’s life with firm but gentle velvet paws, proving the adage that dogs have masters while cats have staff.
For the last 5 years, readers of the national Malaysian daily newspaper, The Star, have been entertained by Katz Tales, light-hearted stories that celebrate the antics of these cats. Today the best of these stories are brought together in three new ebooks for everyone to enjoy.
Katz Tales How Boris The Cat Was Reunited With His Family (free) is the story of a true miracle. It details how Boris the cat made a temporary home with Au and his friends for a year before being reunited with his family who were living 400 km away. Guaranteed to make you Smile!
I hope you enjoy these Tales as much as I enjoyed writing them. The proceeds of Katz Tales books go to Trap Neuter and Release the strays who live in my neighbourhood.
