Devastated by the collapse of her 14 –year marriage in August 1998, Jane Griffiths’ intention of going to Paris the following month, was to take a much needed break that would allow her get over the hurt of losing her husband to another woman. The teacher struggled with her attacker, held on for a while, but the rapist managed to break away, but losing one of his shoes in the process.
The news of the teacher’s attack got to her colleagues, and what a shocker Shirley got, on discovering that the attacker’s abandoned shoe looked very much like that of Brian, her son. Of course, it turned out to be the one she gave him on his last birthday. Shirley couldn’t turn a blind eye to what her son had done to her colleague.
