Enter the world of the Cozy Red Barn. Inside the barn is family of animals all coming together under one roof in diversity with love, warmth, good food, kindness and shelter, the basic necessities of life. No matter where the animals originally came from, and in their quest to live in harmony and safety, they find themselves in blended family of acceptance. The story is narrated by a Mexican migrant mouse family. Under the hot Texas sun, they fall asleep in a tomato crate after a hard day’s work picking vegetables. When they awaken, they find themselves bouncing around in a truck on a long journey, a journey that takes them far away from their Mexican home into the deep woods of Pennsylvania. Meet the Gonzales mouse family: Francisco, his wife Pilar, and their two children Pepito and Rosita. They arrive at the Cozy Red Barn, nestled amongst the Pennsylvania countryside, which is inhabited by a family of animals—horses, goats, cats, dogs, and even peacocks—lovingly cared for by owners Suzy and Karl. Here the Gonzales family must adapt to their new surroundings and learn about these strange, new animals they have never seen before.
