Synopsis

"Stamattina mi sono svegliato con un'idea folle, inattuabile. Fare una festa per il mio quarantesimo compleanno e invitare tutte le donne che ho avuto. Tutte. Ma proprio tutte." Michele sta per compiere quarant'anni. è Ferragosto, fa caldo. Lui è rimasto in città perché deve consegnare un lavoro. È un lavoro importante, a cui tiene. Ma non riesce a concentrarsi, la distrazione è la più irresistibile delle tentazioni. Soprattutto da quando gli è venuta questa idea della festa. Folle, inattuabile. Ma se gli è venuta ci sarà un perché. Allora si mette a fare un elenco, una lista. Fa un po' squallido, è vero, ma è necessario. Quella della prima cotta al mare, Linda di Città di Castello, quella della prima volta e basta, quella che gli ha spezzato il cuore, quella che sembrava quella giusta, tutti dicevano che era quella giusta... Michele si perde, ricorda, racconta. Un poco, forse senza volere, si vanta (è un uomo, gli scappa). Rachele, Melissa, Luce, Thea. E poi Sandra. Che da quanto ci pensa, da come gli ritorna sempre in mente, si capisce subito che ha qualcosa di diverso dalle altre. L'idea gli sembra sempre meno folle, questa festa dopo tutto si potrebbe pure fare per davvero. Basta mettersi a cercarle, scoprire che fine hanno fatto, come sono diventate dopo tanti anni. Basta mettersi in gioco, ammettere che nella vita non tutto si riesce a pianificare, che certe volte è il destino che comanda. Chi legge si diverte, si commuove, si emoziona. Entra dentro la testa di un uomo, entra dentro il suo cuore. E ci trova le sue paure, i suoi vizi, le sue debolezze, il suo modo di amare.
