Star Trek: The Riddled Post

The Evorans, residents of a new Federation protectorate, have made a fantastic discovery on their homeworld: a device that predates their civilization and proves that aliens visited their world in the distant past. The U.S.S. da Vinci is sent to investigate the device and find out its true nature.

What started out as a simple supply run turns into a life-or-death struggle! The crew of the U.S.S. da Vinci thought they were just bringing mining supplies to Beta Argola. But en route they find out that the planet has been attacked -- by the same superior forces that are now overwhelming the da Vinci!

Overmatched by three enemy vessels that will not rest until the da Vinci is destroyed, the S.C.E. crew must use all of their wits to figure out how to take on a more powerful foe. And they have to do it soon, because the miners on Beta Argola are quickly running out of time before their reactor goes critical....

The da Vinci comes across a strange runaway vessel that is giving off tremendous amounts of dangerous energy. However, the ship is not as strange as they think, as they've encountered it once before...

During the Dominion War, the U.S.S. da Vinci encountered this same vessel, and had to destroy it before it presented a danger to an entire star system -- not to mention to the war effort. However, doing so proved a challenge for the ship's first officer and second officer at the time: Commander Salek and Lt. Commander Duffy.

Dr. Elizabeth Lense has had a fine career. She was first in her class at Starfleet Medical - ahead of the genetically enhanced Julian Bashir -- and a hero during the Dominion War, and is now the chief medical officer on the U.S.S. da Vinci. but Captain David Gold notices that her performance has not been up to snuff. She's been listless and stressed, and is delegating most of her responsibilities to the da Vinci's Emergency Medical Hologram.

Her malaise couldn't possibly come at a worse time, because a virus has erupted on Sherman's Planet -- and the planet's entire population, as well as the crew of the da Vinci, are now marked for death by the virulent plague!

Before the twenty-fourth-century adventures of David Gold, Sonya Gomez, and the crew of the U.S.S. da Vinci came the more rough-and-tumble Starfleet Corps of Engineers of the twenty-third century. In the wake of an incident involving the Starship Enterprise and the infamous Delta Triangle, Lieutenant Commander Mahmud al-Khaled and the crew of the run-down U.S.S. Lovell must "open" the Triangle -- and also find a lost generation ship that was last seen entering the phenomenon. But the mission grows even more complex when the Gorn arrive, demanding -- at gunpoint -- that the Gorn criminals inside the Triangle be returned to them.
