Synopsis

Abby Weaver and her six-year-old son, Chris, are standing on the flight-line at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point along with thousands of other spectators watching the annual Air Show. Abby's husband, Major Danny Weaver, is flying a demonstration of the Harrier when something goes terribly wrong and the jet nosedives toward the ground. Throngs of people scatter as a mushrooming cloud of burning jet fuel builds over the runway. Abby and Chris watch in horror as their idyllic life explodes on the tarmac in front of them. Days later, Abby learns that what everyone thought was an accident is now believed to be sabotage. She is haunted by the thought that her husband may have been murdered. Who wanted Danny dead and why? In this heart-pounding mystery, Abby finds herself sucked into the same sordid web of lies and deceit that her husband investigated in the days before his death. In her desperate search for the truth, she finds the strength to protect her son and in a final shocking twist Abby comes face to face with her husband's murderer and uncovers the secret that cost Danny his life.
