EVERYONE has a bad day sometimes, but for Louisa County Police Lieutenant Caroline Sinclair that day stretches on. First she returns home after successfully closing a case to find her husband in bed with another woman. Then the next morning she has to set all of her emotions aside when a hunter's dog fetches a human arm instead of a duck. Before she knows it she is waist deep in a case involving five murder girls from the local boarding school. When another girl goes missing at the same time Sinclair's personal life falls apart around her, she must set everything aside or her career be ending, right along with her marriage.
