While Atkins starts people at 20 grams of daily carbohydrate, the Eades of Protein Power say 30 grams, Diana Schwarzbein of The Schwarzbein Principle says at least 60, the Zone says 100-150, and Sugar Busters would probably be around 140-200 grams.
All of these are considerably under standard nutritional advice, which is generally around 250-300 grams of carbohydrate daily (depending upon calories and other factors).
So you can see that it varies greatly. And as I'm sure other people will say, it varies from person to person what you need and and what benefits you.In short, the number of carbs per day for weight loss ranges from 20 to 50 or sometimes up to 70 grams. However, 70 grams daily is usually only for those who are engaging in weight training in addition to cardio exercise. The usual low carbohydrate range is 20 to 60 grams daily. You determine how strict you need to be; the best way is to experiment and discover what amount works well for you as an individual.
In this book you will find 200 low carb delicious Breakfast recipes ranging from 1 gram carb to 20 g carb for your Low carbohydrate lifestyle.
