EXCERPT

I met his eyes again and within a heartbeat we were in each other’s arms, kissing like we were the last two people on earth. He’d killed for me. Ripped out the throats of three men to keep me safe.

I pushed my tongue into his mouth and tried not to think about what I might be tasting. I was consumed with need for him. My hands couldn’t get enough of his body. I let my fingers run all over his skin, exploring the lines of his muscles, moving from the smooth skin of his belly to the coarse hair on his chest.

All the anger and dislike I’d held for him tipped over into lust as he pulled me in and pawed at me through my clothes. He was so big. His hands. His chest. I adored the feel of his huge hands kneading my flesh. If only my clothes weren’t in the way.

I let go of him and tugged my blouse out of my skirt. He realised what I was doing and tore my blouse open with one sweep of his hand. He pushed me backwards, ripping off my bra as he guided me over to the counter. We backed up until I hit something solid, then he put his fingers into the waist of my skirt and tore that off me too.
