The WordPress 3 Manual assumes no prior knowledge, and takes you step-by-step through the whole process of setting up and creating your first WordPress site. The step-by-step approach will take you from absolute beginner all the way through to the completion of your first site.
With over 60 million downloads, WordPress is undoubtedly the most widely used website creation software in use today, and the main reason for that is its ease of use. However, its popularity and ease of use are both a curse and a blessing. It is used by so many people that there is an assumption that everyone will know everything there is to know about it. It is extremely easy for existing users to forget about the initial learning curve that has to be overcome when learning how any new software works, and it is easier still for writers of software manuals to make assumptions that leave the reader baffled and confused.
I have tried to overcome those problems in creating this WordPress 3 Manual by assuming no prior knowledge, and by taking you step-by-step through the whole process of setting up and creating your first WordPress site. The step-by-step approach will take you from absolute beginner all the way through to the completion of your first site.
