Synopsis

Era tiempo de manifestarse la ira de Dios, y aprovechando esta circunstancia local y similar que estaban viviendo, el Espíritu Santo hace transportar proféticamente en su discurso al profeta Jeremías y éste se remonta a 2600 años adelante, a nuestra época, al final de los tiempos. Solo una guerra termonuclear puede alcanzar a todos los rincones del globo terráqueo, como se nos profetiza aquí.

El profeta Isaías, vemos igualmente aquí, nos anuncia un "Dia" de grandes lamentos; según él, las personas buscarán la muerte y no la hallarán; es decir, el sufrimiento es inevitable (Apoc 9:6). Habrá un caos total en el mundo acompañado de desastres naturales (Apoc 8: 7-13; Is 13: 9-11) por lo que correrán de un lugar a otro--como nos indica la cita del profeta Isaías que analizamos--buscando en vano un hueco y sitio seguro donde esconderse.

Dios a través de todas las centurias se ha hecho escuchar, usando para ello a sus profetas y seguidores; aún desde la mismísima Creación (Gn 3:15). ¿Coincidencias? Nunca ha cesado de rememorarnos esa cita ya cercana: "He aquí, vino y fue, dice el Señor Yahweh: este es el día del cual he hablado" (Ez 39:8).
