Thonhauser ist jedoch überzeugt, in seinen Episoden Themen aufzugreifen, die in jener Zeit nicht nur für ihn, sondern auch für den Alltag vieler Menschen „zwischen Weltkrieg und Staatsvertrag“ von Bedeutung waren.
