MY FIRST eBOOK
I just bought my first ebook from Kobo to read it on my iphone. I was skeptical but I loved it. I was at the cottage and I wanted the book and within two minutes I was reading it!
While I will probably still buy the odd book in hard copy, the books I read just for pleasure and don't keep as a reference, I will be buying online only.

BUYING TO READING IN 30 SECONDS
From buying to reading took less than 30 seconds! I just bought my first epub from Kobo for a brand new e-reader (not Kobo) and had no problems at all getting the file to work. Purchasing was easy and quick and I was able to set up the file on my e-reader without thinking. Great selection and great prices! I think I just found my e-book seller of choice.

FORGOTTEN BOOK - NO PROBLEM
Over the New Year's holiday we went to visit my family in Spartanburg, SC. As we hit I-95 and started cruising, my son informs us he left a book he needed to read for his English class at his friend's house. My son recently got a BlackBerry for his birthday and I remembered seeing an eReading app in BlackBerry App Store that could help his problem. Kobo is an e-book reader service much like Amazon's Kindle or Barnes and Noble's e-book service. Amazon has not seen fit to create a Kindle app for BlackBerry's and Barnes and Noble's app did not impress me.
Kobo allows you to purchase new books at a reasonable price, much like Amazon's Kindle service. There are also many books which are free. I mentioned the app to my son and he downloaded the app. Since the book he was reading was considered no longer copyrighted, he was able to find the book he needed and downloaded it for free. He was able to read his book during the trip and complete his assignment in time for school to start back. At least on this trip Kobo saved the day and, hopefully, his grade.

KOBO MAKES IT EASY
Love the KOBO connection!
The easy to install App on my BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the purchase of my Ebook was simple.
Most of my purchased KOBO reading is currently being done on my laptop computer instead of the BlackBerry but I like the idea of just picking up the read right where I left off on my BlackBerry. I also love being able to browse the available books and then making the purchase from my phone to be read on my computer.

I use an iPhone and, because I am site impaired, I use the voice over screen reader that is included. The KOBO app and books are accessible. Thanks for making such a great product.

No doubt about it, e-Books by Kobo is definitely among the best, if not the best, iPhone apps for e-reading purposes. Its features plus international availability make it a must-have iPhone app especially if you're not from the U.S.
The app is promising as well, especially with support from Borders and other major book and e-book companies.

I love this app! I have a BB Bold 9700 and had no problems with the download or using it. Besides a great selection of free books, there is a wonderful selection of books for sale at reasonable prices. Give it a try.
