Newspapers and magazines on your Kobo eReader

The Kobo eReaders bring you newspapers and magazines. Enjoy automatic wireless delivery! You'll find new issues in the News & Mags area.

  1. Where do I manage my newspapers and magazines?

To manage your Subscriptions list, you can use the Kobo website (www.kobobooks.com).

    To see your subscriptions online:

    1. Visit the Kobo Store online at www.kobobooks.com, and click the Sign In link on any page.

    2. Enter the e-mail address and password for your Kobo account, then click the Sign In button.

    3. Click the Account link.

    4. Click the Subscriptions link.
You'll see a list of your newspaper and magazine subscriptions.

  2. How do I subscribe to a newspaper or magazine?

All newspaper and magazine subscriptions start with a free 14-day trial.

To subscribe, just find an interesting newspaper or magazine in the Kobo Store and click the Free Trial button next to its name.

You can always find the subscription price listed near the Free Trial button, as well as information about how often the publication delivers new issues (for example, monthly, weekly, or daily).

  3. How do I cancel a subscription?

Canceling a subscription means you stop receiving issues of the newspaper or magazine, and Kobo stops billing you for your subscription. If you cancel your subscription partway through your billing period, Kobo will keep delivering the issues you paid for until the end of your billing period. For example, if you subscribe to your local daily newspaper but cancel your subscription the day after your monthly bill, you will get the daily newspaper for the rest of the month.

    To cancel a subscription:

    1. Visit your Subscriptions page.

    2. Click the Cancel Subscription link beside the newspaper or magazine you want to stop receiving.

  4. Can I renew a subscription?

Yes. If you cancel a subscription during your free trial or afterwards, Kobo keeps it on your Subscriptions list in case you ever want to renew it. Renewing a subscription re-subscribes you to that newspaper or magazine.

    To renew a canceled subscription:

    1. Visit your Subscriptions page.

    2. Click the Renew Subscription link beside the newspaper or magazine you canceled.
Note: You can also renew a subscription by finding the newspaper or magazine in the Kobo Store and clicking the Subscribe button.

  5. How do I get new issues?

If you have the Kobo Wireless eReader or Kobo eReader Touch Edition your issues will be delivered to you automatically. Your eReader checks daily for new issues. If it can't connect to a wireless network at the normal time, you can use the eReader to start a Wi Fi connection and update your library yourself.

If there are no wireless networks in your area, you can use the Kobo Desktop to get new issues. Simply connect your Kobo eReader to your computer, launch the application, and click Sync.

You will find your new issues in the News & Mags area of your eReader.
