What You Need to Know

Thanks for trying out Shortcovers Beta v0.9.19 for the Palm Prē. We're very excited about this new platform, and hope you'll enjoy reading thousands of FREE books, (under the ‘…’ command menu button) as well as the hottest bestsellers from our catalog.

There are a few things you need to know about the current version:

  1. It's a beta. That means it isn't completely done, and there are some rough edges in some places. Please bear with us, and send us your feedback to feedback@kobobooks.com so we can continue to make it better.
  2. Make sure you're using Firmware 1.0.2 on your device, or the Shortcovers Beta for Palm Prē won't work well. Palm should help you with this upgrade – let us know (at feedback@kobobooks.com) if you need more help getting this done
  3. You can read eBooks offline, however you can't bookmark offline. As we mentioned, it is a Beta, and this is one of the features that we weren't able to complete for the Prē release date.
